Jamie was born on February 3, 1996, in the middle of an unprecedented ice storm in Charlotte, NC, to Janice Ammons Keziah and Jeffery Lyn Keziah. The delivery room was packed with his parents, grandmother and aunt for his birth. His parents were told they were unable to have more children, so his arrival was celebrated even more than most.
Growing up in Coulwood, Jamie had an idyllic childhood. He was a natural athlete and excelled at many sports, but his true love was baseball. Whether on the mound or infield, he excelled and played for many local teams, admired by his teammates and coaches alike. When he wasn’t playing sports, Jamie was never far from his big brother Josh and the two had an unbreakable bond.
Jamie spent his high school years in San Francisco. He attended Woodside International School and graduated with academic honors and the subject award for economics. This led him to pursue a degree in Finance at San Francisco State. He earned his associate’s in economics, was still working towards his bachelor’s at the time of his death.
Jamie had big dreams of one day owning his own business. He was perpetually curious and would immerse himself in topics of interest and then ask questions and get feedback to further his knowledge. He had a true heart for service and was always looking for ways to care for others. With his humble nature, keen intelligence and warm, kind personality, there is nothing he could not have accomplished.
Jamie loved to travel. He had already been to Turkey and Greece and had a list of other countries he was planning to visit. He made many international friends in high school, and this carried over into his adult life where he was welcomed and befriended by others worldwide.
Jamie is survived by his parents, his maternal grandmother, Ruby Ammons; his aunts, Susan Wyatt, Valerie Dawydiak (Walter), Tammy Robinson and his uncle, David Ammons (Dana). He also had several cousins, Liz Ammons Hancock, Callie Wyatt, Ruby Dawydiak, Amber and Tyler Robinson. The list of friends who loved him would take up several pages but if he was your friend, you never had to doubt it.
Jamie was predeceased by his beloved, brother Joshua Alton; his maternal grandfather, Wallace Ammons; his paternal grandfather; Bobby Keziah and his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Robinson.
