Jimmy was a graduate of Pineville Farm Life School and attended Brevard College where he played football. He was a member of the National Guard and many other organizations.
Jimmy was a life-long cattle farmer and avid hunter and fisherman. He was a man who enjoyed many friends and loved ones.
Jimmy was a preceded in death by his wife Johnsie McGinn Miller. He is survived by sons; Jim (Chickie) and Steve (Gina); siblings, Jack and Marianna; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday June 14, 2018 at McEwen Pineville Chapel. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
