

James E. Pippin, 85, of Charlotte joined his heavenly father on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Born in Jackson County, TN on December 22, 1924, he was preceded in death by his parents, Sally and Willis Pippin and his eleven brothers and sisters. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend and will be missed by many.
James retired from Industrial Chemical Products of Detroit in 1990, he and Clara settled in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Pippin served in the US Army as a radio operator during WWII. He was also an avid golfer, bowler and Detroit Tigers fan.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Clara of the home, daughters Dawn Sauer(New Braunfels,TX), Deb Ryan (Waterford,MI) and Carol Robbins(Las Vegas,NV) and son Dale Baugham and wife Jennifer(Charlotte,NC), grandchildren Colette, Jolene, CJ, Carrie, Christy and Mystina, 10 great grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 27, 2010 at Sharon Baptist Church, 6411 Sharon Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 with Rev. Robbie Page officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery in Boiling Springs, NC. Memorial can be made at Presbyterian Hospice, 324 N McDowell St., Charlotte, NC, 28204.
