James Riley Stewart Jr.

Born April 8, 1960, in Charlotte he was the son of the late James R. Stewart and survived by his mother Marquita Stewart. Following graduation from Olympic High School he began his career life as an auto body painter which he pursued for over 30 years then went to work for the family-owned insurance business as an insurance broker until his illness.

He was an avid fisherman and loved watching football with his friends. He was a member of the Fort Mill Moose Lodge #1240 where he enjoyed the company of many like-minded friends.

He is survived by his mother, Marquita Stewart, of Newton, NC brother, Jeff Stewart of Tega Cay, sister Belinda Worsham (Bobby) of Maiden, NC, and nephews Ryan, Matthew and Joseph Stewart.

He was preceded in death by brothers David Stewart and Chris Stewart.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at McEwen Funeral Service – 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC.
