She was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 24, 1932. She graduated from John Marshall High School and worked at Southern States Cooperative as an executive assistant until she retired.
Jane was an active member of Asbury Memorial Methodist Church for her entire life. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother and a follower of Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Coble and father C. C. Coble along with her brother Elwood Cheatham and sister-in-law Sarah Cheatham.
Jane is survived by her son Greg Martinez and his wife Anne and daughter Dawn Magnuson and her husband Scott. She is also survived by grandchildren Cole Martinez and his wife Zuzanna, Brent Magnuson and his wife Alex, Meredith Partin and her husband Michael, and Tyler Martinez and his wife Estefa.
She had five great grandchildren Thomas Partin, Zara Martinez, Chloe Martinez, Coble Partin, and Archie Martinez
There will two memorial services. The first will be at the Matthews Glen community located at 733 Pavilion Drive in Matthews where Jane lived on March 15, 2025 at 11am.
The second memorial service will be in Richmond, VA in April, with details to be determined.
