It was such an honor to have worked with Jeff at Sharon Memorial Park for five years. He was always quick with a joke or just there to brighten someones day. I will never forget all the stories of the old McEwen Days or the Derita Days. He is so missed. Much love and many sincere condolences to you and your family.

I just heard about the death of Jeff. We had been friends for many, many years. We both came from the "original SCI-Florida" days and shared many memories and some of the same friends. As a funeral director, I can say that Jeff was one of the best. I never hesitated to entrust my families with him during his time at Sharon Memorial. He is definitely one of those individuals than can never be replaced, only his position filled. I am really going to miss the time we spent together when he was here in Charlotte.

Such a good friend, who always knew what to say, or lend some wise words of advise. Who always had a seat on the porch, and and a beer in the fridge. I love you, and will miss you! Until we meet again -

Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Our favorite memory of Jeff is when we took Opie to visit Nikki at the hospital and met Jeff on our way in.  Opie cried and barked and leaped and licked until Jeff finally gave up, sat down, took his glasses off and let Opie welcome him to Michigan.  He was laughing and crying at the same time--that reunion touched us all.  Thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you as you learn to live without this wonderful man!

I got the news the other day that you were gone. My mind jumped back to all the memories as if I were trying to pull them all out so that I would never forget them. Starting with that time in nineteen ninety something in Gatlinburg. You were way more than cool, with your trench coat and laid back style. You were a rock star. Years later, you and Joanne took me in until I could get a foothold in Charlotte. From there, I thought the good times would never end. The porch crawls, wings at T-Bones, Thursdays at the Grid Iron, Brad and those pigs he cooked in the sand, the fireworks on the beach (maybe some cops that night), Saturday tee times at Crystal Creek with Johnny and Tonto, that Sunday on your front porch wondering how I got this black eye, the bachelor party, days and nights at the pool. It went on and on. You guys fed me and that rag tag Yachtsman crew more times than I can count. I could never thank you and Joanne enough for all that you did. I didn't see you much after I left, but when I did, you were always quick with a smile and that trademark style. I won't get to come say goodbye, but I will always carry with me the memories and an admiration of you, a great man and influence. Someday, somewhere, in the sun, we will meet again. Until then

God sure took a great man from us. Jeff's absence will always be felt. Love and sympathy to Joanne and family.

Words cannot express the sadness felt with the passing of Jeff. A huge void remains in the hearts of the many people who loved him. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing, he was a great guy and I will miss him. Our condolences go to all the family.
