Two great high school friends.  Always attending our Harding High School Luncheons and many other great times too. I am so thankful for the friendship we shared.  This picture of Joe Clark and Kaye Biggerstaff is one of my treasured photos. May they both RIP. My prayers for Mitch Clark and family continues.

In the mid 1970's Joe and Virginia gave me a job at a time when I really needed a job.  
I worked for the Clark's for 4 years.
Beauregards Deli was their business and was operated as a "family."
They were great to work for/work with.
I met my future wife Ronnie at their deli.
We both loved Joe and Virginia.

Joe's  passing saddens our hearts.
He was the best.

Dee Dee,
I'm so sorry to read about your loss of Joe.
I only met Joe once... probably 10-15 years ago when I saw both of you at Bonefish Grill in Matthews.
You introduced me to Joe and we shook hands and Joe greeted me with a smile from ear to ear.
I always remember when you were the anesthetist with my patients  and how "bubbly" and "spunky" you were so after meeting Joe with his smile, I knew the two of you were the perfect pair.
Please take care of yourself and my condolences on your loss.

Joe was a great guy . Enjoyed every moment I spent in his presence. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Still the best Reuben I ever ate.

Mitch, Dee Dee, & all of the children & grandchildren, I will be praying for you all. Joe was one of a kind, and will be dearly missed by so many on the Westside & beyond. When he came to church at Northside Baptist, he sat on the pew beside ours, & I was fortunate to get to talk to him sometimes when the service was over. And when his lovely bride passed, he was very hospitable to me when I came to the house to express my sympathy. He & Mitch had so many pictures out on the table (or maybe it was a pool table?). Pictures of his entire family & Westside friends over the many years. He showed me a pic of him & my dad. He had a lot of great memories & people that cared so much for him & all of the Clark family. I’m sure you know how loved he was & the Westside community is praying for you & thinking of you every day during this sad time. And although it is sad, we know where he is, and we will see him again. I hope that gives you some comfort. Much love from the Lawing & Huffstickler families. ❤️🙏

How far back should I go?  Joe and Ginner went to Harding High School when I did.  One of my favorite memories of Joe at Harding was walking into English class and Joe was asleep wih his head on his desk...The teacher said shhhhh as we came in.  When Joe woke up and looked around, he realized the people were not the ones that was in his class.  As the years passed I kept in touch with Ginner & Joe and enjoyed Beauregard's food....they were also quick to prepare food trays for me when I ordered them  when there was a death of friend or family, always very good and looked good.  I was very sad when I heard that Ginner had cancer and she then passed away (Joe called me before she passed and I saw her one last time in the hospital....looking forward to seeing her again in Heaven)....with Joe.  Praying for Mitch, Dee Dee and family....all of Joe's extended family and friends.  Goodby Joe, until we meet again.

Larry and I have so many amazing memories over the years of Joe. What a character with a heart of gold. His whit, his smile, his laugh, his stories, his jokes! Everyone knows the Joe I’m talking about! He loved and cared  deeply for his family and friends. We will miss you Joe! Much love and many prayers for Mitch, Dee Dee and your entire family! He adored and cherished you all!

 My heartfelt prayers and condolences goes out to Joe Clark’s family. Joe was a great man and a great friend. Special prayers going out to Joe’s son Mitch Clark and his family. Also Joe’s girlfriend Sandra Smith Williams. She was also an excellent caretaker for Joe. Joe loved everyone and everyone loved him.  He will by missed by so many, especially Old Harding High School friends. RIP My friend.

R I P, Joe. I remember MANY lunches at Beauregard's and you always had a smile and a kind word.  You will be missed.

Jen (my Angel) and I started dating and hanging out in Beau's in 1979.  I remember Mr. Joe Clark at the restaurant all the time.  Joes friend and customers were always around him!!!  His deep and companionate voice wanted you to hear more and more of his stories in life.  
I was invited by Mitch to come over to Joes house to watch the Daytona 500 this past Sunday (2/14/2021).  When I arrived, this lovely man asked how my wife was doing and was very sad to know of her condition.  I'm sitting there with these 2 loving men (Joe and Mitch) watching tv together and I said to myself....It's an HONOR to be associated with these 2 men in my life....and Joe there in pain within himself continues to worry about my wife...My Angel.

Dear Mitch, my sincere condolences in the loss of your father.  Joe was a very sweet man.  May he rest in peace.

Joe called  on me when he worked with Kraft Foods and I worked at PYA.  We became good friends. We then ate a lot of lunches at Beauregard. He was a great person. My prayers are with Mitch and his family. 

Ronnie and I send our deepest sympathy to Mitch and the Clark family.  Joe was a great friend and loved spending time with him...
