John L. Harmon, 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away on January, 10, 2015 of complications from Parkinson’s disease. John was born December 8, 1944 in New York, the son of John Edward Harmon and Mary Hocutt Harmon Kaye. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kristen Phipps Harmon; his son, Matthew J. Harmon (Gloria) of Tucson, AZ; his son, Vernon T. Harmon (Carolyn) of Rock Hill, SC; sisters, Laura Harmon Jacobs and Paula Harmon Heffner. The family wishes to thank Ruby Powell and Fanny Corea of Nova Life Home Health Care for their kind and compassionate care and the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte, especially Amy Sloop, Allison White, Harold Hudson, and Dr. Victoria Garriett-Lampkin for their support and guidance.
