John Paul Prosser

John was born on September 6, 1933 in Youngstown., Ohio. After graduating from The University of Dayton in 1955, he entered The USMC Officer's Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. Upon completion of his military service, he had been elevated to the rank of Captain. Soon thereafter, John married the love of his life, Susie. They settled in Charlotte, NC in 1972 and recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to begin his own manufacturer's representative agency, Pro Sales Company, which is still thriving today.

An avid golfer, John had been a member of Pine Lakes Country Club and Raintree Country Club before joining Carmel Country Club, where he enjoyed his weekly foursome and the Member-Guest Tournament for 30 plus years.

John is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Susie" G. Prosser, daughter Nancy (Thom) Knowles, daughter Sally (Chris) Ware, son John, Jr. (Shay), sister Peggy (Joe) Scheetz, sister Jane (David) Parrish, cousin/brother John McFadden, many nieces and nephews and four grandchildren- Katy Knowles, Vivian Ware, Taylor Prosser and Sydney Prosser.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Matthew's chapel on Wednesday, September 2 at 11:00am. Calling hours to follow at the church after the service.
