Joseph Noyes James Jr.

Joseph Noyes James Jr (“Jinx”) - Joe, age 69, joined his late mother and father (Eleanor and Joseph James) in heaven November 20, 2013. He grew up in Alexandria and served in the Air Force for a brief period. He lived the majority of his life in Fredericksburg with his wife of 46 years, Darlene Faulconer James, before residing in Charlotte with his daughter, Stephanie the last year of his life. He owned two companies, Paveway Company Inc & Funtastic Go-Kart Track. Joe was a kind, compassionate man who always helped others in need. He wanted to be remembered as a jokester who was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He is survived by his three children; son,, Joseph (Melissa); daughters, Kimberly and Stephanie (Lee) and his grandchildren; Zachary, Rachel, Lauren, Nicole, & Ellen. Also by his sisters, Crellin & Cindy, as well as a large extended family including Redneck, his puppet. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00pm, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church (7310 Old Plank Rd) with Rev. Bert Browning officiating. A reception for family & friends is at 3:30pm at Lake of the Woods Clubhouse (205 Lakeview Parkway, Locust Grove VA). In lieu of floral tributes the family requests memorials be made to Pineville United Methodist Church (110 South Polk St Pineville, NC 28134) for the continuing of Christian education.
