Born to Grover and Marie Tate Rimmer on January 25, 1931 in Charlotte, Joe loved his God, family, friends and the game of golf. He served as an elder in his church for many years. His walk with the Lord and ‘the love of his life’ were most important to him. Joe believed, lived and proclaimed the truth of God’s word!
Left to mourn his loss is his beloved wife Betty Hartis Rimmer; children Tina R. Nelson, Joe. W. Rimmer, Jr. and Donna R. Evans; eighteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; brothers William (Bill), Frank and Jack; infant son Michael Joseph Rimmer and daughter Debbie R. Cantrell.
Visitation will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Resurrection Church located at 2940 Commonwealth Avenue in Charlotte with a memorial service following at 4pm.
