Leon D. Luckett

A service for family and friends was held December 7, 2013 at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home in Charlotte.

Mr. Luckett was born January 24, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On June 30, 1980, he married Annie R. Tate. He was a journeyman electrician at Packard Electric - Delphi Automotive Division of General Motors in Clinton, Mississippi. Leon was a member of IUE-CWA Local 698. He was an electrician in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Leon is survived by his wife, Annie T. Luckett of Charlotte North Carolina; two daughters, Rwanda (Tracy) Gribbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Janice T. Luckett of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons, Leon D. (Uniquika) Luckett, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Waycus L. (Dorcas) Luckett of Charlotte, North Carolina; one step-daughter, Daphne D. Murphy of Magee, Mississippi; two step-sons, Samuel L. (Filicia) Murphy, Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi, and Kharis K. Murphy of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Dephia Anderson and Varece McPherson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and one step-sister, Diane Chambers of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
