Leslie Bernstein

Charlotte - Leslie Ann Bernstein, 41, died in Charlotte NC, on Thursday, October 8, 2015. She is survived by her loving parents, Don and Bobbi Bernstein and her brothers, David Bernstein and his partner Bernard Goldberg, and Daniel Bernstein and his partner Stephen Mally.

Leslie was born in Park Ridge, IL on December 18, 1973. She moved to Charlotte with her family at the age of four. She loved animals and was especially close to her beloved dog, Zero. Horses were her passion. She had her first riding lesson at the age of 7 and became an accomplished rider and trainer. She was always at her best when riding, and loved to teach others to ride. Her happiest days were at the stable.

Leslie was a caring, nurturing human being who could always be counted on in a crisis. She loved to have fun, had a great sense of humor, and was a loyal friend. She adored her family and they adored her. She took a special interest in the lives of her young cousins. She loved the Yankees with a passion.

In addition to her parents and brothers, she is survived by her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth El in the Blumenthal Sanctuary, 5101 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC, 28226. Interment will be private.

The family will be gathering for Shiva on Monday evening from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Temple Beth El, with a prayer minyan at 7:30 p.m.
