Lisa Ann Skinner

Lisa Ann Skinner, 49 passed away on November 29, 2024 in Monroe, NC. She was born March 23, 1975 in Charlotte, NC and attended Metro School. Lisa touched lives in a special way and made surprising connections with people. Her smile, disposition and acceptance of all people made her seem as an angel among us. She loved life’s simple pleasures: family, music, the beach and porch sitting.

She was a child of God. We all were blessed by her life. She made us realize our wants would not harm us even if they were never materialized. She asked for so little and gave so much. Lisa was loved and respected by her group home family.

The gates of heaven opened wide to receive her. Our hearts are full of memories of her smile and her sense of humor. Her light shines brighter in her new home.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, L.A. and Eunice Ireland and William and Trudy Skinner. She is survived by her mother, Vicki I. Brewer; stepfather Terry Brewer; father Thomas W. Skinner; siblings Bobby Pressley, Michael and Heather Pressley, Kyle Brewer, Kendyl Seymour, and a large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins and two special nieces.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at New Hope Church, 3221 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112 beginning at 3pm.

Arrangements are under the care of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park.
