Margaret Charles Davis

Born April 23, 1926 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late William Shaw Charles, Jr. and Clara Jo Wagner.

Following graduation from Central High School, her career began with the City of Charlotte in the City Clerk’s office. She also worked for Celanese Corporation and after retirement worked for Sharonview Federal Credit Union.

Margaret was a former member of the A.R.P. Church of Charlotte. The joy of Margaret’s life was her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Harry N. Jones; daughter-in-law, Barbara F. Jones; son-in-law, Dale M. Rivenbark; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond E. Davis; daughter, Diana J. Rivenbark; and great-grandson, Joshua D. McKinney.

Monday, September 12th, 2022 the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. Following visitation, the service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
