She was born in Bald Creek NC mountains on September 22, 1928, to Arthur and Bessie Phillips. She was loved by her sisters Ila, Phyllis, Broma and brother Joe.
After moving to Charlotte, NC at age 15, she met and married Sweney Prosser, Jr. They were married in 1947 until his death in 2010.
She is survived by Rebecca P. Hensley, granddaughter Bess H. (Will) Lewis, and their two sons Liam and Wade; granddaughter Rachel H. (Doug) White, and their daughters Lilly, Macy, and son, Wesley. Also survived by her son Phil Prosser (Linda), their daughter Rebecca Roland (Brad), and grandson David and his daughter, Samantha, also granddaughter Jessica Mann (Ricky), and their three daughters Demi, Kira and Ruby, also by son Jeff Prosser and granddaughter Adelaide.
She and Sweeney belonged to All Saints Lutheran Church for many years.
There will be a private commitment for the family at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
