

Margaret Cooper Watson, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at her home in Charlotte, NC. A private memorial service for family will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Calvary Chapel in Charlotte. Pastor John Munro of Calvary Church will officiate.
Born on October 22, 1937 to John and Mary Cooper of Ayr, Scotland, Margaret spent her early years and graduated from high school in Ayr. On June 14, 1957, she married William Watson. Together, they began a new life adventure, and in 1966, moved to the United States with their two children, Stephen and Angela. In addition to creating a home for family, raising her children, and managing an office career, Margaret gave her time to the church. She was active teaching Sunday school, leading Bible study groups, and volunteering wherever needed. Some of her church homes were St. Matthews Presbyterian Church in St. Matthews, SC; Clover Presbyterian Church in Clover, SC; Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX; Tyler Presbyterian Church in Tyler, TX; and Calvary Church in Charlotte.
Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Gillian Watson, and brother, Tom Cooper. She is survived by her husband, William Watson; her children, Stephen Watson of Lexington, SC, and Angela Adamson, of Charlotte; her grandchildren; and her brother, Reginald Cooper of Ayr.
Family and friends described Margaret as faithful, kind, and giving.
