Born August 4, 1936 in Charlotte, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Mae Deaton Hooper and a graduate of Harding High School’s Class of 1956. She retired from L&H Technologies and from Christ Lutheran Church where she was a nursery attendant.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, David Smith, Anitra Driver, Carl J. Smith, Jr. and Joseph Smith; her brother, William Hooper; and nine grandchildren; as well as her little love, Aleigh-Li.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Smith’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3rd in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
