

Born May 7, 1943 in Osyka, MS, she was a daughter of the late Charles B. Addison and Marjorie Opal Addison.
Following graduation from Kentwood High School, Marilyn spent a year at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg before moving to Baton Rouge, LA where she began a career in the insurance industry that would span fifty years. She attentively served loyal clients at The Herb Kimball Agency (Baton Rouge, LA), Cameron Harris Agency (Charlotte, NC) and Watson Insurance Agency (Lake Wylie, SC)
The joy of Marilyn’s life were her two grandsons, Spencer Thomas Hinton and John Alexander Hinton. She was a devoted Gran Gran, attending school and sporting events and cheering fiercely for them in all of their endeavors.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Thomas D. Hinton of 63 years; two children, Karol Nannette Hinton of Charlotte, NC and Thomas (Tom) D. Hinton, Jr. (Stephanie) of Camden, SC. She was also dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her niece, Kimberly Gail Wall (Bob) and her family of Osyka, MS.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn A. McDaniel and Barbara Frazier.
A service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 20th in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
