Leo was born on May 9, 1987 in Tyler, Texas and lived in Fayetteville AR, Charlotte NC, Waynesville NC, Aiken SC, Atlanta GA, Laurel MS, Lynchburg VA and Asheville NC.
Leo attended The Salvation Army Evangeline Booth College as a member of the “Heralds of Grace” Session and was commissioned (ordained) as an officer and minister in The Salvation Army in June of 2015. Even before his commissioning you would find Leo ministering to and loving on those that everyone else had turned their back on…the addict, the homeless or the lonely child. Leo was on FIRE for the Lord and wanted everyone to know that there was grace, love and salvation for them.
In 2017 Leo met the woman who would soon become the love of his life, second only to Jesus. She brought a smile to his face that had never been seen and loved him in a way that no human had. He married his beloved Aline Fernandes Killion on June 6, 2018. In their short 10 months as husband and wife they experienced happiness and love that they never imagined was possible.
Leo is survived by his wife, Aline; Furbaby, Cooper; adoptive parents, David and Pu Chon Davis, David and Angela Repass; his birth mother, Suzanne Killion; and adopted siblings Gary, Kimberly, Michael, Steven and Thomas. Leo loved and was loved by many but he held a special place in his heart for his spiritual band of brothers.
We will celebrate Leo’s life on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at The Salvation Army Belmont Corps located at 901 Belmont Ave., Charlotte, NC. Friends and Family will be received from 9:30 am -11:15 am, and the Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 am.
