Marjory Jean Ottavi

Marjory Ottavi, 90 years old, died at her home on June 25, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Charles Filosi and her brothers George and Charles Stickney, sister Gloria Stanton and her sister-in-law Lillian Jordan.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Daniel) Krause. Grandchildren are David (Amy) Wilkes and Daniel (Megan) Krause. She is also survived by great grandchildren Wade, Angelie, Waylan and Octavia Wilkes. Lilly, Maeley and Danni Krause and sister-in-law Emily Guzzie. There were also many others whose lives were enriched by her love and support.

Marge, also well known as Goggie, was a hard-working woman who lived a simple life. She was raised in Niantic, Connecticut then later moved to Florida and then to North Carolina. She worked for years at Motorola making batteries. She then worked at the Harris Teeter as a cake decorator. She resided at Lake Wylie Mobile Home Park where she had many special friends. After she retired, she continued to work at Bojangles in Lake Wylie making biscuits, finally retiring at the age of 80 years old. The true love of her life was her family and helped raise numerous babies. One of the most special memories of Marge was the love she had for her dog Walter. She brought love and joy to those who knew her.

Much love and thanks to Rebecca Ramsey for the care she provided during her illness the past few months. Many thanks to Viva Hospice of Charlotte who provided care and comfort during the end of her life. We ask for everyone reading this to love one another, to take time to renew relationships and to live each day with a servant's heart.

Funeral service will be held at Camp Thunderbird Chapel, One Thunderbird Lane, Lake Wylie, SC 29710 on September 30, 2023 at 4:00 pm. Casual dress. A Celebration of Life will be held at Danny & Debbie Krause's home, 14400 Shopton Road, W., Charlotte, NC 28278.
