Its so hard to say goodbye,but i did. The last words you said to me i wish i had your strenght and i love you.Sooooooooooooooo  i took  it  to heart ,not knowing it would be the last !Ma!  I am going to keep my head up and stand against every negative thought that comes my way in this world.I asked god to lead,order my steps in the word because its so much i experience in life that i can help people in many ways.I was taught by the best"my opinion"now you rest ,this is not my home i'm just passing through until we meet again your oldest child(Tasha Sapp) your grandson omarion sapp miss you

To Tasha, Freddie and family; I was deeply saddened upon hearing of the passing of your mother Evangelist Mary Sapp. We met in 1982 when True Victory Deliverance Tabernacle was having Bible study in the home. Every week we would be at a different home study the word of God.  Later, we began to have services at Fort Bragg Chapel, USO, Murchison Road and Cliffdale Road. Sister Sapp and the evangelical team members traveled with Apostle Lonnie Sessoms Jr, all over the United States and in Europe, spreading the word of the Living God.  
Tasha, Freddie and family God has not forgotten you. I pray that God strengthen you and encourage your heart that this too will pass. He is still on the throne. I went thru this in November when my youngest sister went home to be with the Lord. Remember, earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Rest well my sister for you have completed your task that the Lord had for you. I will miss you but, you will always be in my heart.

Blessings to the Sapp family, I pray for the joy of the Lord to be your strength during this challenging time. All the wonderful memories I have of your mom, Evangelist Mary Sapp. Most of all our time in prayer. If you ever got to church early you could hear a voice but you had to get on your knees to find the voice she would be stretched out on the floor praying. Oh, the trips, missions, evangelistic, the neighborhoods, outreach. To be blessed to hear Sis. Sapp sing or pray would take you to a new level in the Spirit, she put every ounce of herself into both. She knew how to get face to face with our Father in heaven. Evangelist Mary Sapp was the epitome of how a Christian should be, I believe Father in heaven is well pleased with His servant/soldier daughter. 

To Tasha, Freddie and family; Your mother was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was the epitome of a ‘Daughter of Zion!’ She loved her Lord and Savior and she loved His people! Yes she has fought the good fight of faith, finished her course and kept the faith, her work is completed here on earth. Now her heavenly work has just begun.  I know your hearts are heavy but rejoice because a servant is always obedient unto death. 
I remember when Apostole Sessoms pulled me from the flock (True Victory) and told me to go to Fort Bragg under the tutelage of Evangelist Sapp (I wanted to be around ‘the crowd’) but of course the Father saw differently. I preached my 1st sermon under Evangelist Sapp, and learn how to pray through her teachings and words of encouragement. I am a witness she knew how to TAP into heaven and His presence! Your Mom’s Legacy WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!!!

To Tasha, Freddie and the Family -  Please accept our deepest condolences, as having recently loss my mother, I am fully acquainted with what you feel.

Sister Sapp, affectionately called by many, was always a ball of fire, a bag of jokes and a bundle of joy - ALL … AT THE SAME TIME !
She was always such a down to Earth Pastor, Evangelist and most of all, friend, who loved people soooo genuinely !!!

Being a musician, I had the pleasure of accompanying her on many occasions - for solos or worship - and  it was always a treat to hear her minister with such fire, energy and passion !!!

A dedicated mother, wife and pastor, high ranking soldier in the faith and friend on the battlefield for Jesus.

She was the “real deal” - always full of joy and laughter … Sapp Family - we hurt with you, but also rejoice in her promise of a CROWN for her labor in the Lord !!

When I came to Fayetteville NC (Ft Bragg), Evang Mary Sapp was the Devotional Leader. She worshipped God with her whole spirit, soul, and body...I mean with ALL that was in her....sometimes for over an hour. She finished as strong as she started. I will never forget the hours we spent together in prayer, praise and just good old fashioned fellowship. We traveled together to many places as  part of the evangelical team with True Victory Deliverance Tab. under the auspices of Apostle Lonnie Sessoms Jr. She was an Ambassador for Christ. MARY SAPP, THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS I CAN SAY ABOUT WHO SHE WAS BUT IT WOULD TAKE A LIFE TIME TO DO IT. SHE WAS A PHENOMENAL WOMAN A WOMAN OF GOD. SPIRITUAL CHAINS WERE BROKEN WHEN SHE CAME INTO YOUR LIFE DOING THE WILL OF GOD. A GREAT EVANGELIST FOR GOD. HER SMILE WOULD LIGHT UP A ROOM AND FILL IT UP WITH THE EFFERVESCENCE OF EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. HER SMILE, HER POWERFUL VOICE AND MOST OF ALL HER PRESENCE. SHE HAS FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT SHE HAS FINISHED HER COURSE NOW SHE CAN REST IN THE ARMS OF THE FATHER.

On Friday, January 7, our mother transitioned to be with the Lord. She was a great warrior in the kingdom (Pastor), wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend to many. She certainly will be missed. Despite our sadness, she will always be remembered for her strength, wisdom, and confidence in the Lord. Her life and legacy will live on in all those that connected with her in some way. She left a legacy of love and most importantly a legacy of trusting God in all things. God certainly remained the head of her life. She was mighty in the kingdom. She stood on the Word of God knowing that "No weapon formed against her would prosper." In all things she knew that God would see her through. She finished strong and now is reaping the rewards of her labor. I'm reminded of one of her favorite scriptures in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV): 

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

We know that Christ has welcomed her into His bosom and she is rejoicing because she made it! Well Done, Mom! Well Done!!

We will always "Remember Mama in a Happy Way"
