Michael was born March 26, 1929 in Newark, NJ to Michael, Sr. and Helen Salerno. He grew up with his 3 sisters Dolly, Mildred, and Marie. He is preceded in death by his wife Constance and his daughters Beverly Rose and Michele Ann.
He is survived by his son Timothy Salerno (wife Gracy) and daughter Denise Calabria (husband Dominic); grandchildren Adelle Schulze (husband J.D.), Jamie Hecker, Angelina Salerno, Matthew Calabria (wife Bonnie) and Stephen Calabria; as well as his many great-grandchildren.
Michael was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a proud US Marine veteran (hero) of the WW2 era and after his time in the service, he worked as a machinist until his retirement to Stuart, Florida (Natalie Estates). He was an avid artist and bowler, and his hobbies included swimming, playing pool, crossword puzzles, and getting together with his many friends at the American Legion, Elks, and Moose clubs.
