Mildred McDonald went to be with her Lord and heavenly family on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Mrs. McDonald was born January 4, 1923 in Charlotte, the daughter of John T. and Ada Abernathy Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and sang in the choir for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh P. McDonald; sister, Elizabeth Hagler; brothers, J.T., Van, and Calvin Griffin. Mildred is survived by her sister, Judy C. Griffin of Charlotte; brother, Hubert Griffin (Donna) of Colorado Springs, CO; a very special niece, Sandra Thompson; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16th, at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at 1633 Woodberry Road, Charlotte.
