Mildred Catoe Owens, age 91 of Charlotte died January 26, 2011 at Liberty Nursing Home. A visitation will begin at 10:00AM Friday, January 28, 2011 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with a service to celebrate her life to be at 11:00AM in the Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Sammy Case officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mrs. Owens was born in York County, SC July 21, 1919 and retired from the A & P Bakery after 25 years of service. Surviving are a daughter, Patsy Howell (“J. B’”) of Charlotte, sons, Harold “Butch” Owens, Jr. (Margie) and J. D. Owens (Carolyn) all of Matthews, NC and many grand, great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Owens, Sr. The family would like to thank the Staff at Liberty Nursing Home for their loving care of Mrs. Owens.
