Naomi Frances Green

Born March 7th 1933 in Burgin, Kentucky, Naomi was a devoted and caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister. Her life was a celebration of all that is good in people. She was a 1950 graduate of Burgin High School in Burgin, KY. She married Edwin Harrison Green in 1950 and together they raised four boys and settled in Charlotte, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Harrison Green, her parents, Herman and Nellie Pierce and her brother, Kenneth Pierce. She is survived by four sons: Edwin Harrison Green Jr. and his wife Gail of Tacoma, WA, Herman Ray Green of Charlotte, NC, Howard Lee Green of Charlotte, NC and Michael Thomas Green and his wife Tara of Matthews, NC; five grandchildren, Joshua, Moriah, Katelynn, Harrison and Jesse; sister, Jackie Pierce Foster and her husband Tom of Shelbyville, KY; brother, Dennis Pierce and his wife Janet of Danville, KY; and sister-in-law, Helen Pierce of California.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Harry and Bryant on Providence Road in Charlotte, NC. Funeral Services will be held at a later date at Burgin Baptist Church in Burgin, Kentucky, and graveside services will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY.
