Norm was born September 8, 1949 in Medellin, Colombia. He was the son of the late Ruben and Sophie Steinman.
Following graduation from high school in Florida, Norm attended Georgia Tech, where he received degrees in City and Transportation Planning. After a career that spanned more than 40 years in Transportation Planning, including work for the Charlotte Department of Transportation, he retired to enjoy life in Charlotte.
Norm was a member of Temple Israel in Charlotte.
Private funeral services were held at the Hebrew Cemetery.
