Patricia Williams Allison, 87, passed away peacefully with her loving granddaughter Lauren by her side at Aldersgate Hospice Care on Thursday, March 10, 2022 after bravely battling cancer. Pat was born on July 30, 1934 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Milburn Williams and Bessie Cowart Williams and her brother, John Cowart Williams.
She is survived by her loving husband, James C. Allison, Jr.; their three children; and five grandchildren. Son, Mark Allison and wife, Jacqueline. Daughter, Suzanne Allison Martinez. Son, Todd Allison and wife Libby. Grandchildren, Matthew Lemmond, Lauren Allison Martinez, Lindsey, Tanner and Tate Allison.
Pat met the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Jim, at Ridgedale United Methodist in Chattanooga. They were married for 67 years, staying devoted to each other until the very end. Pat and Jim are the epitome of “till death do us part” and they are a stellar example of true love for their family. Pat enjoyed golf and spending the summers by the pool at Carmel Country Club along with their Fourth of July extravaganzas. She was an avid bridge player and was involved in her Bridge Club for many years. She also enjoyed family trips to Tennessee and Florida. Pat was an active member of SouthPark United Methodist Church, formally Sharon, for over 50 years.
Pat had the most bubbly personality and was a very kindhearted person. This was evident in the way she remained a devoted caretaker to her husband, Jim, and in the way she helped to raise and nurture her granddaughter, Lauren and her grandson, Matthew. She was selfless and loving in her everyday life and her presence on this earth will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family is very appreciative of all her neighbors, caretakers, and church family for their support. A special thanks to Dr. David Tait who cared for Pat for many years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research to honor her beloved Jim, who is still courageously fighting that battle, and to their longtime church, SouthPark UMC.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at SouthPark United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 am.
