Peggy J. Ellison

Peggy was preceded in death by her brother Joe Ellison and her grandson Brian Kristen Faulkes. Peggy Ellison is survived by her son, Brian; and her grandchildren, Briana, Justin, and Quiron and many other friends and family.

Peggy was born on October 8, 1934 in Dallas, Texas, to parents Edmound Ellison and Charlotta Etta Hanks. She graduated with a high school diploma from Manual High School in Denver, Colorado.

In 1968, she moved to the Bronx, NY and accepted a position as a unit secretary in neurology at Montefiore Hospital, where she worked many years and later retired. While there, she served as a mother figure to many coworkers.

Peggy had a passion for making people laugh. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, watching her favorite TV shows, and her weekly hair appointments. Her family and friends will always remember her as a person who spoke her mind, adored her grandchildren, and the epitome of strength.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 with a repass to follow directly after Pastor Russ Dean will officiate.
