Pennylynn Burgess

Pennylynn Burgess, 49, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away at her residence on January 16, 2012. She was born and raised in West Islip, NY on September 23, 1962 to the late Raymond and Agnes Johnson. Pennylynn was a graduate of West Islip High School. She always had a smile on her face and her happiness was consuming. She loved to laugh and once you met her, it was obvious what a beautiful person she was. Penny (AKA Pet Princess) loved her pets, she never turned her back on any animal Animals seemed to talk to her and knew that God put her on this earth for them. She knew their language and they felt safe with her. But most importantly, Penny was a person that loved and constantly gave to others; even through her death, she was able to give through organ donation.

Penny is survived by her loving husband, Glynn Burgess; step-daughter, Rebecca Burgess; brothers, Raymond Johnson and Paul Johnson; godfather, Richie Krug and goddaughter, Brianna Johnson.

Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday January 23 at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church, 2906 Hwy. 160 W., Ft. Mill, SC. A celebration of Penny’s life will be held Tuesday January 24 from 1 – 4 pm at the Four Seasons Community Clubhouse in Ft. Mill, SC
