Mr. Phil Dean Burch

Phil Dean Burch, age 65 of Mt. Holly, NC passed away April 13, 2015. He was born August 24, 1949 in Mitchell County to the late Tommy and Lois Garland Burch. He attended West Mecklenburg High School, served in the US Marine Corp and wa a Vietnam Veteran. Phil was a charter member of Paw Creek VFW Post 6724. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Freda Cash Burch, sons, Ricky Thorkelson and Tommy Burch, step son, Jeff Tyson (Nicole), step daughters, Tana Tyson Ensley (Downy) and Olivia Tyson, seven grandchildren, Morgan Ensley, Curtis Harris, Cameron Harris, MadisonTyson, Tyson Ensley, Madeline Tyson and Cody McGinnis, brothers, Gary Burch, Danny Burch, Todd Burch, sisters, Carol Edwards, and Becky Handsel all of Stanley, NC, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Burch. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, April 16th in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Pastor Noel Sweezey officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be one hour (1-2PM) prior to the service.
