Ray was voted the Man of the Year in Brunswick. Known for lending a helping hand to neighbors and friends, he also donated his time and treasures at the American Red Cross, Marine Corps league, and as a Brunswick, Ohio Volunteer Firefighter.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Marie Carman; his son, Robert Joseph Carman; daughter-in-law, Denise Marie Carman; grandchildren, Dawn and Rick Bonen-Clark, Jennifer and Robert Carman; and his beloved great grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Rebecca, Brendan, Bryant, and Adrian.
