Ms. Rebecca Anne Yandle

Rebecca Anne Yandle, 88, passed away on April 13, 2016. Rebecca Anne Yandle was born in Charlotte on December 11, 1927 to Maude Gertrude Forbis and Lawton Devoe Yandle. She graduated from Thomasboro High School in 1944. She married Marshall Lee Yandle, from Charlotte, on May 7th, 1949. Marshall and Anne Yandle raised 6 children, two of which have passed away, George Pettaway Yandle and Patrick Wayne Yandle. Their living children are Marshall Lee Yandle, Jr. and wife Roberta of Wappingers Falls, NY, Michael Lynn Yandle of NY, David Lawton Yandle of Charlotte, and Rebecca Jane Jones and husband Jeff of Guam, USA.

Mrs. Yandle was mainly a mother and wife, but worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Bank of America after the children were grown. Anne and her husband Marshall attended Calvary Baptist Church on Harwood Lane for the last 20 years. They also faithfully served at the Mecklenburg County Senior Citizens Hot Lunch Program as volunteers, and were awarded "Volunteers of the Year" in 2009.

Anne and Marshall have 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Anne and Marshall Yandle were married 64 years and 11 months before Marshall passed away in April of 2014, just two years prior to Anne's passing. They lived a long and active life, traveling with their children to many places within the US, also overseas to the island of Guam, Bali, Micronesia, and to foreign countries Korea, Japan, Australia and the Philippines.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, 10301 Harwood Lane, Charlotte, NC 28214 at 11AM; the family will receive visitors at 10AM that morning prior to the service.
