Born October 1, 1988, in Danville, Virginia, Landon grew up in Southlake, Texas, where he proudly became part of the Southlake Dragon tradition at Carroll Senior High School, graduating in 2007. Being a Dragon was something he carried with pride long after his school days. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University and later graduated from the National Automobile Dealers Association Academy in Tysons, Virginia — preparing for the career path he was destined to follow.
Landon was a free spirit. He loved traveling, and his favorite place in the world was anywhere with sand, water, and sunshine. The beach was his happy place — where his adventurous soul felt most at home.
By profession, Landon proudly followed in the footsteps of his grandfathers, William “Bill” Beck and Richard “Dick” Elsea Sr., building his career in the automobile industry. He spent most of his professional life working alongside his brother, Corbin, at their father’s family-owned dealership. Landon was a gifted salesman. It was said many times that Landon could “sell ice to Eskimos.”
Anyone who knew Landon was the victim of his infamous pranks at least once. He would light up a room with his commanding personality and infectious laugh.
Nothing meant more to Landon than his family — especially his beloved son, Cayden Beck, who was the pride and joy of his life. He was so proud of his brothers and shared a special closeness with his mother. He cherished being an uncle and held a special place in his heart for his Aunt NeNe, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Landon also shared an unbreakable bond with his very best friend, Keaton Dugan. Much like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, they did everything together from the fifth grade until Keaton’s tragic passing in 2023. Their friendship was one of loyalty, laughter, and brotherhood.
Landon is survived by his son, Cayden Beck; his father, Bobby Beck (Karla); his mother, Susan Beck (Tommy Barnhardt); his brother, Corbin Beck (Kendra); his brother, Camron Courchesne (Melina); his sister, Cailin Beck; and his grandmother, Patricia Beck, who lovingly referred to Landon as her “Sweet Boy.”
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William “Bill” Beck; his grandfather, Richard “Dick” Elsea Sr.; and his beloved grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Elsea.
Though his time here was far too short, Landon lived boldly and fully. He believed deeply in his favorite quote, “The world meets no one halfway."
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
