

Born August 13, 1937 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George and Emma Frank. Following graduation from California High School, Pennysylvania in 1955, Bob entered the US Navy where he was a helicopter mechanic stationed at Lakehurst, NJ. He served in the US Navy from 1955-58 and served many months overseas on aircraft carriers. Ater leaving the service, he was employed for 40 years at NJ Natural Gas Company in Wall, NJ.
Bob served many years as a Deacon at Glendola Bible Church in Wall, NJ. He then retired and volunteered as a maintence worker at Rock Mountain Bible Camp in S. Gibson, PA for 14 years. He was a member of West Lenox Baptist Church in Pennyslvania.
He then moved to Charlotte, NC and attended Good Shepherd Church in Steele Creek.
The joy of Bob’s life was his family. He adored his wife Florence, whom he married on October 4, 1958. He was also a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved to go camping with his family. He was an incredibly hard worker and skilled craftsman and mechanic who loved building projects and even put a full addition on his house. He had a great sense of humor and always loved to joke around with whoever he met. He was a very generous man who would try to help anyone he could. He was universally loved by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Johnson Frank; three children, Deborah Frazier (Paul), Patricia Manger, Robert Frank, Jr. (Cathy); sister Violet Organiscak, brother George Frank, Jr. (Shirley); 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his beloved daughter Denise Maret (Tim), daughter-in-law, Cathy Frank (Robert Jr), sister Lillian Cifone and parents George and Emma Frank.
A graveside service with military honors to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 21st at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney St., Pineville, NC.
