He was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was for helping me build our garden fence or dig drains around the driveway. I loved how he would drop his plans to meet up with the grand kids for lunch, dinner, at the zoo, Discovery Place, or preschool events. I especially enjoyed the talks we had when I would drive him home after family visits. I'll never forget how nice it made me feel when he used to tell Kristi that she married a "Fine Feller". I'll miss you, Dad.

We are so sorry for your loss of your Dad.  We had many, many wonderful fun-filled, happy times with your Dad and Mom.  Especially our early years.  Your Dad was the brother Stan never had.  Rook games, football with Scott and Eric.  You know who was who: Eric and your Dad were always either Pittsburg Steelers or Alabama, Scott and Stan were Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee!  They would play Monday Night Football with a game.  Stan and your Dad.  Oh how your Dad loved sports.  Always hollering at the refs!!  Kristi, you were truly a Daddy's girl!  He was so proud of you and Brandon both.  God bless you!  We love you!

So sorry to hear about Robert.  I'm so glad that we got to see him again recently; we enjoyed talking to him.  Robert was always good to us.  When you all came to Mamaw Estep's house, Stan and Robert would laugh and have so much fun over the ball games on TV.  That's good memories for me.  Just wanted you to know we were thinking about you.

I was very close friends with Robert.He was a great christian man. The funniest memory is when we were in the movie theater and Robert went to sleep and was snoring and I told him to wake up and he said ' I wasn't asleep'  and I started laughing and so did he.

 I'm saddened to hear of Robert's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him over twenty years ago while he was at Watsons and I truly enjoyed knowing him. When he left Watsons he signed the bottom of his desk and arranged for me to have it. I use it to this day and think of him often! You are blessed to have had him as a father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I treasured Kyle's friendship.  My husband and I had dinner with Kyle a few years ago when he made the trip to Knoxville.  He had a great time at our class reunion.  I think when his granddaughter was born it was one of the happiest days of his life.  He loved his family very much and his grand kids was his life.  He was very proud of his children's accomplishments.  I am very sorry for your loss and I am praying for you and especially his grandkids.

Robert, was my best friend, We had some good times together, and he was always there to lend a ear. He will be missed emensley.

I am deeply saddened by Kyles' passing. I stayed a whole summer at his house when I graduated from high school. He was my first cousin and his dad and mom were my aunt and uncle. I dearly loved all of them. Kyle was going to come up and see me the next time I came to Tennessee. We have kept in touch on facebook. I just can't express how sorry I am for the family, he loved his kids and grandkids so much. He sent me pictures and talked about them a lot. R.I.P Kyle until we are all together again......

Kyle was my classmate and very good friend in high school. My wife, Deana, and I would ride in his 65 Ford convertible singing along with his eight track tapes.  We spent many weekends playing whiffle ball, Rook, talking and laughing.  We played basketball together at Carter where we developed a deep and lasting friendship.  We kept in touch throughout the years and sat together at our 2012 class reunion.  I am praying for you all.  He will always be a vital part of my life.  He was a great friend and man.  I loved him.

Robert was like a brother to me!  My son is named after him.  We shared lots of memories, Robert was suppose to teach me to whistle and I was suppose to teach him to blow a bubble with chewing gum.  We had so many laughs about this!  He will be missed.  His pride and joy was his grandbabies and children.  I know I will see him again one day, as he was a good christian and God fearing man.  ~ Prayers for all who loved him.

Robert was a member of my 55+ New Friends Group for several years.  We rode to and from many events together.  He was such a kind man and will be missed by many.  My deepest sympathies to his family.

Robert was a dear friend, a kind and gentle person always willing to lend a hand. We enjoyed parties and picnics together with our singles group--also bowling every month.  Once we played mini-golf, and Robert got four holes in one. So I asked him if he was a golfer, and he said, " a little bit."  Later I visited his apartment, and there were golf trophies everywhere!  In his last message to me, he was planning on watching March madness on TV while recovering from knee surgery.  He was interested in history and enjoyed our trips including the railroad museum and the Antietam battlefield.  His favorite topic of conversation was his kids and his grandkids, and I know he was happy living near them in NC.  from Lindsay
