Ronald Dimitri Goides Jr.

Fort Mill, SC- Ronald Dimitri Goides, Jr., 51, died suddenly while on a business trip in Canada on 9/9/15. He was born to Ronald Dimitri Goides, Sr. and Kathryn Vita Marie Goides in Carbon County, PA, on 8/23/1964.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Burton-Goides; son, Nicholas; daughter, Karsen; his parents; sister, Angela; and brother, John.

Ron loved his family and adored his wife and children. Ron loved golf, throwing the football with his son, driving his son to school, helping his daughter prepare for a great year in college, and being the best Dad and Husband in the world.

He worked for Western Star, a company owned by Mercedes, and he enjoyed his job and co-workers. Ron’s ideal weekday was to start his day with a workout, breakfast with family, lunch at home with a quick walking of his 2 dogs, ending the day with a great home cooked meal and special laughing and story time with his children. Weekend fun was most important to him and he enjoyed every moment of life. Ron was an engineer who dedicated his career and life to providing excellent service, and always thought of others first. He loved big trucks, fire trucks and buses.

Ron was working at a truck dealership near Quebec and died while doing what he loved. Ron will be missed by many. His wife and children will work hard to make “daddy” proud and will continue the faith. Please pray for our strength and understanding due to we will miss daddy dearly. He loved visiting friends in Charleston and enjoyed being near water, ocean or lake. Mountains always reminded him of his childhood home and fishing with his family was on his top 10 list of things to do often.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, at Good Shepherd UMC Church, 13110 Moss Rd. in Charlotte. Reverend Talbot Davis will officiate. Following services, his family will greet friends in the church lobby.
