Born April 23, 1946 to the late Arthur and Mary Mc Neal in Dayton, Ohio. Rosalyn expressed a love for Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. DD Mundy and later under the leadership of Rev. Samuel N. Winston, Sr. She was a devoted member until she relocated to Indian Land, South Carolina to be closer to her family in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Rosalyn graduated from Nettie Lee Roth High School, Dayton, Ohio in 1965. She was very active in High School as a Cheerleader for basketball and football. She loved inviting her girlfriends to her parent’s house for dancing and cheerleading practice. They learned to roll the carpet back after dancing numerous holes in the rugs. Rosalyn was well-liked, outgoing, and a go-to-person for anything! After graduating from High School, Rosalyn went to work for Good Samaritan Hospital. She worked as the Unit Secretary in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit for 40 years until her retirement in 2008.
Roz is remembered by many as having the best hugs, the most beautiful smile, a warm heart, full of life, and you always knew what was on her mind.
