Samuel ‘Ray’ Cook (79), passed away June 2, 2017 at The Brian Center and Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. He was born in Charlotte on June 19, 1937 to Samuel Monroe Cook and Edna Hancock Cook. Ray was a 1957 graduate of Central High School in Charlotte. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Southard (Ollie) and brother, Reggie (Ann) Cook and family members Rodney Cook, Teresa Eudy, James Brown and Mitchell (Shana) Brown. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy; sister Sylvia Anne Cook and stepson Leslie Brown.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5th at 1pm at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte with interment at Sharon Memorial Park immediately following the service.
