Sarah Foster Marks, 95, of Charlotte went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Sarah was a native of Charlotte and a lifelong member of “The Little Church on the Lane”. She loved to sew for all her friends and knit newborn caps for local hospitals and charities. Sarah devoted most of her life to her church and family.
Sarah is predeceased by her husband, Henry Franklin Marks, two brothers, Harry and Duke Foster, and a sister, Betty Hunt. She is survived by her son, Bill Marks of Charlotte, a sister, Betty Hunt of Rock Hill, SC and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11:00am at “The Little Church on the Lane” 528 Moravian Lane Charlotte, NC 28207. Sarah will be interred at Elmwood Cemetery in uptown Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “The Little Church on the Lane”.
