

Scott Eugene Snyder, of Clover, S.C., tragically passed away on February 14th, 2026, at the age of 65 after a short fight with illness. Originally born in Vandalia, Ohio, he retired from US Airways after a decades-long career and was using his retirement to visit the US National Park system. He was an avid golfer, do-it-yourselfer, and animal lover. He was a quiet, reserved man, but had a giant heart who lovingly cared for his wife as she suffered from medical issues in her later life.
Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Elizabeth (Leslie) Snyder, of 37 years of marriage; parents Charles and Ella Snyder; brother Mike Snyder; parents-in-law George and Joan Leslie; siblings-in-law David Spencer, Peg Snyder, John Leslie, John Barnhouse, and Bill Black; and Kathy Filipowicz (niece) and Michael Sorenson (nephew). Scott is survived by his sons and their wives: Steven and Bekah, Kristopher and Chelsea, Corey and Jamie, and Drew and Katie. He is survived by his granddaughter, Avery, and expectant granddaughter Aviendaha. He is also survived by his brother Rick Snyder (wife Pam) and sister Stephanie Spencer and by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Peggy Sorenson (husband Jim), Sue Smith (husband Dean), Marianne Black, Joanne Barnhouse, Nancy Green (husband George), and Jim Leslie, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial is planned for the immediate family in lieu of a memorial service.
