Sharon Nark

Sharon Marie Nark of Charlotte, NC passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in Newark, NJ on April 20,1953, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Krauss. She lived in Union, NJ until 1971 at which time she enrolled at Evangel University in Missouri. It was at Evangel where she met Robert Nark, her devoted and loving husband of 42 years. Robert and Sharon later returned to New Jersey where she completed her education at Kean University in Union, NJ. The couple moved to Charlotte, NC in 1986 where Sharon worked in marketing.

Sharon will be remembered for her tireless dedication and commitment for her family’s care. Her steadfast faith guided her to love and protect those in need, particularly her son Bradley who has many special needs. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. She was an active member at the Pineville United Methodist Church of Pineville, NC.

Mrs. Nark is survived by her husband, Robert Nark; two sons, Jason Nark of Brooklyn, NY, Bradley Nark of Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law Siánneth Sánchez (Jason); sister Karen Porter (Ken) of Wilmington, DE; brother, Mark Krauss (Brenda) of Charlotte, NC; nieces Rebecca Kleinschuster (David) of Elizabeth City, NC, Tracy Porter of Wilmington, DE, Cassie Krauss and Colleen Krauss of Atlanta; nephew Joel Porter (Amanda) of Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Nark is also survived by father in law, Wallace Nark; sister in law, Diane Lewton (John); brother in law Larry Nark (Heather); nieces Stacey Foust (Jerry); and Kaitlyn Stokes (Mike); nephews Brian Miller (Marlo), Stephen Nark. She is also survived by 12 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11am -1 pm with the funeral service starting at 1pm, on Thursday December 15, at Pineville United Methodist Church 110 S. Polk Street Pineville, NC. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn East Cemetery, located at 3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC.
