She was born on October 1, 1935 in Albemarle, NC, a daughter of the late Grace Clontz Boone and Arthur Jennings Boone; and beloved wife to her late husband of 60 years, Kenneth Boylan. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Matilda Boone Hinson.
Shirley was a avid tennis player and instructor, world traveler, and active member of Carmel Country Club and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
