Sidney Joseph Brown

Born on February 15th 1952 to Mr. and Mrs. John F. Brown Jr. in Charlotte NC

He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Brown Jr. and June Brown, his uncle Joe Herlocker and his aunt Jean Brown as well as his sister, Jackie B Swartz and his sister-in- law Kathy Porter Brown. Left to cherish the memory of his life and his courageous fight are his loving wife of twenty years; Joani Brown of Charlotte, NC a daughter Leslie Brown Erdman and husband Brian of Fl.; one brother John F. Brown III, sisters; Carolyn Johnikin and husband Leonard of Charlotte, June Anne Bleacher of Charlotte, Ellen Walters and husband James of Huntersville, Bev Lands and husband Michael of Grovetown Ga., Mary Brown of Augusta Ga., Susan Reese and husband Jimmy of Augusta, Ga. ,Grandchildren Logan and Ava Brown of Fl., brother-in-law Karl M. Swartz and Aunts Helen Herlocker, Anne Dolan, Margret Boucher, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with a host of friends as well.

Sid was a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School and went on to attend Georgia Tech on a football scholarship. He was an admired athlete and excelled in all sports. Sid never met a stranger and will be greatly missed

Family and friends will gather on Saturday May 17th at 4:30 pm at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home chapel to remember and celebrate his life and the family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
