Steven DampierMr. Dampier, 56, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.He was born December 24, 1951 in San Diego, California the son of the late Loyd and Dorothy Dampier. He married Diane Warren on December 31, 1979, and toured throughtout the Texas panhandle with his last band "Empty Pockets." Steven was always a helpful neighboor who would give the shirt off his back to help others, he had a true love for animals and a very deep sense of family. He touched the lives of those around him with his gift of music that will live on. He will be truley missed by all those who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Warren Dampier; two daughters, Alexis Ritchie and Danielle Jones, both of McLean; a son, Cole Dampier of McLean; three sisters; Terri Zimmer (Chuck), Sandy Faella, and Cindy Detimer; and five grandchildren.A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in Trinity Church in McLean with Pastor Jim Reyna officiating.
