

Born on February 5, 1940, in Lenoir, North Carolina, Wanda was the beloved daughter of Ora and Lennie Setzer. From an early age, she was raised with strong values of faith, kindness, and devotion to family. She shared a special and loving bond with her sister, Margaret E. Setzer, and treasured the relationships she built throughout her life.
Wanda dedicated 47 faithful years to a career in banking. She began her professional journey with First Union and later retired from Wachovia. Throughout her career, Wanda was known for her integrity, gentle spirit, and commitment to serving others with grace and professionalism.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. Wanda was a devoted member of Calvary Church, where she found joy in worship, fellowship and community.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Moen, who passed away on January 27, 2022. Their love and devotion to one another was a beautiful example to family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her stepson, Jeffrey Latham, her stepdaughter, Whitney Reynolds, her dear sister, Margaret E. Setzer, and many treasured friends whose lives were blessed by her kindness and warm presence.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers of Hospice and the In-Home Services at Matthews Glen for the compassion, dignity, and kindness shown to Wanda.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to a Memorial Service celebrating Wanda's life, which will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday February 10, 2026, in the Calvary Church Chapel, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28226.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Church; Advent Christian Village, an orphanage in Dowling Park, Florida;
or a charity of your choice.
Wanda's life was a reflection of quiet grace, faithful devotion, and genuine kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
