Wanda Ray Muse

She was born on December 15, 1938, in Charlotte, NC, to Raymond and Evelyn Danner.

Wanda spent much of her life in Lincolnton, NC, where she lived for over 30 years and was a devoted member of Salem Church. In 2020, she returned to the Charlotte area to be closer to her family.

She was a beloved mother, “Mammaw,” great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Robin McKinney. She is survived by her sons, Brent (Sugunya) McKinney of Harrisburg, NC, and Greg (Paige) McKinney of Mint Hill, NC; her brother, Bill (Janet) Danner of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Jessica Baily, Madison McKinney, Wilson McKinney, Michael McKinney, and Courtney McKinney; and four great-grandchildren, August McKinney, KJ Baily, Georgia Baily, and Pearson Spiker.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Mint Hill Medical Center Novant Health and Hospice of Charlotte for their compassionate care and service.

A private graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on November 8, 2025.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
