Wayne Andrew Brunnick

Wayne Andrew Brunnick passed away on February 5th, 2024. He was survived by his wife Debbie, his brother Pete and wife Vicki, his sister Lisa and husband Kevin and his beloved nephews and niece as well as great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Jacqueline, and his sister Carolyn.

He graduated from NC State University with a BS in Civil Engineering and qualified for the Professional Engineer designation in the State of North Carolina. He loved his wife, his family and his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed observing birds and animals in the wild and playing with his pets. He also enjoyed studying and learning about art history and sculpture.

He was a brilliant man in many ways and a good and honest man in every way. He was truly loved. McEwen Funeral Services-Pineville Chapel is providing cremation services.

A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27th in the Chapel of the Levine & Dickson Hospice House-Huntersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may also be made to The Humane Society of Charlotte or to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region (now VIA Health Partners) who lovingly cared for his mother and mother-in-law before their passing.

The family would also like to express their deep appreciation for the police, first responders, and medics who went above and beyond in providing compassionate services.
