Wylie G Kiser

She was blessed with 85 years of life, a faithful husband for more than 50 years, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a spunky lady with a great memory, always up for a road trip, an avid collector of porcelain dolls and lighthouses, and an excellent seamstress.

The highlight of Wylie’s life was her grandchildren and she made sure that everyone she met knew so. She was a wonderful “Nana” and she loved celebrating her family’s wins in life - wishing them well on a new job, seeing a new house after someone had moved, and calling with the latest updates or congratulations. She enjoyed a good joke and arrived early for every event. Wylie could often be found sitting in the back pew at church, cheering in the stands of her family’s sporting games, making the long trip to get to hold a new great-grandbaby for the first time, or relaxing in her favorite beach chair as she took in the warm sun on the porch of her little blue beach house.

Wylie is preceded in death by her parents - John & Janie (Armstrong) Gibson of Charlotte, NC; her husband - Walter “Bobby” Kiser of Charlotte, NC; her grandson - John “Andy” Kiser of Robertsdale, AL; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her sons - John “Skip” & Wanita (Miller) Kiser of Robertsdale, AL; Robert “Robby” Kiser of Charlotte, NC; and Jeffrey “Jeff” Kiser of Concord, NC; her grandchildren - Richard “Rick” Kiser of Kensington, CT; Jamie (Kiser) & Corey Randall of Bay Minette, AL; Robert “Dusty” & Meagan (Ivanov) Kiser of Cedar Point, NC; Amber (Kiser) & Jason Dove of Huntersville, NC; Travis & Tracy (Huber) Kiser of Cummings, GA; and Michael “Mike” & Heather (Tolentino) Stokely of West Hills, CA; her great-grandchildren - Emily Kiser, Riley Kiser, Isabel Randall, Rosalynn Randall, Brinley Kiser, Carter Kiser, Daniel Dove, Andrew Dove, Eliana “Ellie” Dove, and Peyton Kiser; and numerous cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at McEwen Funeral Home at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 on Monday, January 31, 2022. The visitation will begin at 9:00am, followed by the funeral service at 10:00am and graveside service at 10:45am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any memorial gifts be given to her church - Providence Presbyterian Church, 246 Branchview Dr, Concord, NC 28027.
