

Zada Gonsan, 57, of Charlotte, NC died at the Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC on March 8, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Zada was born in Pineville, NC on October 16, 1952 to Samuel and Sadie Washington Young. She attended South Mecklenburg High School as well as Style Trends Beauty and Barber College. She was a hairstylist for 15 years at “Just For You” in Charlotte under the supervision of Jeff Brodie where she was most noted for being the “Queen of the Doobi Wrap”. She was a member of Victory Christian Center for over 20 years. During her life she served as a volunteer on the “Feed the Homeless” committee and also was a volunteer for several other charitable organizations.
Survivors include her 3 Children; Kaiyouna Young, Stanley Sei Gonsan and Soko Lee Gonsan all of Charlotte, NC; 5 brothers and six sisters as well as a host of nieces’ and nephews. She is also survived by a dear friend Mr. Glen Richardson.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Victory Christian Center, 7228 Kings Ridge Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217 with Pastor Robyn Gool and Pastor Donald Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery in Charlotte, NC. Memorials may be made to the Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
